Vikar Mustafa wins with only three clubs and a putter!

Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club held the fourth edition of the Fursa Consulting 4 Club Red Tee Challenge on Sunday the 13th of August.

This event is a highlight in the schedule to both members and guests due to the enjoyment of the format and the great prizes up for grabs.

The star on the day was Vikar Mustafa who had an unbelievable score of a net 58. A brilliant round that included a staggering eight net birdies and two net eagles. Considering only three clubs and a putter were permitted this really is an excellent score, maybe Vikar will consider using four clubs more often!

There were several other good scores on the day including runner up Maruf Khan posting 67 which on any other day would have won, followed by Shoab Khan in third place on a score of 68. Chris Andrews claimed fourth on 69 whilst Rakin Khan's score of 70 saw him in fifth spot. Mousa Shanas gross score of 72 saw him take home the spoils for 'best gross'.

Fursa Consulting put up an array of prizes on the day so there was lots for the players to play for.

Winner of the 'best front nine score' was Mohamed Mehdi with a score of 33. 'Best back nine score' with a fantastic score of 32 was Rajesh Chittii. The final on course prize was 'nearest the pin' this went to SGSC Director of Golf Sam McLaren whose perfectly struck gap wedge finished just three feet from the hole.

All was not lost for the competitors who didn’t win any prizes on the course as there was a blind scorecard draw at the end of the presentation. Five lucky winners were delighted to walk away with a voucher to top off a great day.

Mr Abdul Moiz Khan the Managing Partner of Fursa Consulting along with His Excellency Dr Mohammed Saeed Al Kindi – Board Advisor at Fursa and former environment minister of the UAE presented all the victors with their prizes.

Mr Abdul then proceeded to share the good news that Fursa Consulting will continue to sponsor this great event for years to come much to the delight the competitors and everyone at SGSC.
