Oscar Craig, stepson of Tommy Fleetwood, got his hands on Major silverware on the Emirates Golf Federation’s Order of Merit, with the youngster clinching a one-stroke triumph at the Ras Al Khaimah Men’s Open.

The 54-hole tournament, which also boasts World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) points, saw 39 golfers compete for the prestigious tile at Al Hamra Golf Club, but it was Craig who topped the leaderboard on Sunday afternoon thanks to a birdie on the final hole.

That birdie saw him sign for a final round 71, following a 69 on Saturday and 77 on Friday, to pip Simon Dunn to the title by one shot.

Sam Mullane finished four shots further back in third, while Jonathan Selvaraj and Hoshi Yadav shared fourth after posting a 54-hole score of 224.

“Proud family moment, Oscar wins his first Men’s event,” said DP World Tour star Tommy Fleetwood on Instagram.

There are still five Majors to play on the schedule this season, with the next of those this weekend at The Track, Meydan Golf.

Selvaraj currently leads the way on the Order of Merit on 2168.25 points, followed by Nathan Seldon on 1672 and Craig on 166.48.
