Super Soliman steals the show at the Earth Course

Net 64, 8 under par for Wael Soliman in the July Medalford at Jumeirah Golf Estates

Wael Soliman (22 hcp) was the July Medalford champion in the OMA Emirates Medalford in Association with Christie's International Real Estate Dubai after an impressive 8 under par, net 64.

The Medalford field was split into two divisions, participants with a playing with a 10.4 handicap and below participating in ‘Gents Division A’ and those with a handicap of 10.5 and below competing in 'Gents Division B'.

Soliman produced a classy round including two net eagles and 5 birdies.

The winner of the Gents Division A was Ronan Keating, who plays off a handicap of 7. Keating produced an excellent round of net 68 (4 under par) to take the win in Division A.

Finishing one behind Keating and in the runners-up place was Kenneth Johnston (5 hcp), who scored a respectable net 69 (3 under par). Stuart Carr (5 hcp) came third in the Gents Division A, shooting a net 71 (1 under par).

The Gents Division B winner by a commanding six shots was Moustafa Shafin (25 hcp), with a net 67 (5 under par). Gregor Sword (18 hcp) was the runner-up with a score of net 73 (1 over par). The third-place position went to Lewis Brown (20 hcp), who shot a net 75 (3 over par).

Shiba Wahid took the ladies category

Four ladies competed in the Medalford; the winner of the ladies category with a score of net 71 (1 under par) was Shiba Wahid (13 hcp). Wahid stormed ahead with her impressive scoring and won the category by three shots.

The senior's category was won by Kevin Moroney (6 hcp) who shot a respectable net 73 (1 over par) in tough conditions.

Winning the gross category with a superb personal effort was David Marshall, who shot a gross 69 (three under par). Marshall had an incredible back nine of four under par, which included three straight birdies. The runner-up to Marshall was Simon Howells, who shot a consistent 72 (level par) which included one eagle and one birdie.

David Warham (14 hcp) won the Stableford category with a fantastic score of 38 points, including an amazing back nine with 21 points. The runner-up position went to Jayson Hilton (2 hcp), who finished one point behind Warham with a score of 37 points.
