A field of 30 players battled it out in the summer heat at Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club as they hosted its 8th Senior Summer Open Golf Championship.
It was Suresh Shewakrami who came out on top to claim the title. Suresh posted a very impressive 40 stableford points which included an impressive five net birdies and a net eagle.
Just the one point behind Suresh was Mahomed Suleman Nooor whose impressive 39 points was enough for second place. In third spot was Mahomed Mhadi and fourth place went to SGSV Vice Captain Abdul Moiz Khan, both posting steady rounds of 38 points.
In the super senior division for golfers aged 60+ it was Philip Deeb who went home with the trophy. Philip handled the heat well and played some great golf for a total of 37 stableford points.
John McGuiness topped the gross division on a great score of 34 points which included three birdies.
