Sudhir Vora had a brace of eagles in his final four holes on the Majilis course to cement the October OMA Medalford at Emirates Golf Club.
82 players competed in the medalford event in which each player records a medal and a stableford score. All players are automatically entered into both, only when a player fails to complete a hole do they leave the medal competition.
The winner of ‘Division A’ (HCP 0-10) went to Vivek Chand with a net 70. Vivek beat Ethan Alan to top spot in his division on countback with his better back nine. While third spot went to Anil Shivanna with a net 75.
With Sudhir claiming ‘Division B’ (HCP 11-20) winner, it was Mohd Tukiran Bin Mawi who had to settle for second place with his four under net 68. Even his eight birdies weren’t enough for first place. Andrew Robinson claimed the final prize spot in third in his division.
The winner of ‘Division C’ (HCP 21-28) went to Avtar Jalif with a third of Avtar’s round being made up of birdies.
Vedant Pal took home the ‘Best Gross’ score of the day with a round of 77. Another result having to go via countback with Paul Byrne just missing out.
The winner of the Gents Stableford event was David Moody with 38 points and the Ladies Stableford went to Victoria Johnson with 34 points.
