Dubai: The Senior Champions Tour (TSCT), supported by Gulf News, will host their first event of the 2022-2023 season at The Els Club in Dubai on Wednesday.

A strong field of golfers has assembled for this first tournament of the TSCT Order of Merit season, which has a 1.30pm shotgun start.

Included in the draw, are the top two winners from last year’s TSCT Order of Merit, Sultan Mahmood and Mujahid Siddiqui.

Other stalwarts playing include the co-founders Masoud Sobati and Vijay Vasu along with sponsor representatives, Ajay Shah and Rob Bonnici.

The TSCT is open to all golfers resident in the UAE, aged 50 years and over on the day of joining the Tour, both men and ladies, who are like-minded golfers having fun and networking through the platform of golf, who must hold official Emirates Golf Federation handicaps.

Adding value

The co-founder of the TSCT, Vijay Vasu, who organises the Tour through his company Golf & Co, said at the draw announcement: “We are excited to be hosting our first event of the season at The Els Club. Our TSCT Vision is to add value to our regular events, which include member-guest opportunities as well as providing special prizes as well as a unique experience for all our members and guests.

“We are especially proud to have a special international guest who will be part of a Q&A session at the Prize Presentation Buffet later on Wednesday. We look forward to welcoming him and sharing the photos and experiences post event,” added Vijay.

To join as a member of TSCT there is a one-off lifetime membership fee of Dh995. In addition, members are required to pay for each TSCT event with many events allowing member guests to play with a separate division of prizes.
