11-round event, hosted by Desert Rose Golfing Society, proves a big hit
Dubai: Stephanie Tsalidis took the overall champion’s trophy with 275 points from 10 Qualifying events, to be added to her 33 points score in this week’s Grand Final event of JA The Resort Order of Merit of 2021-2022 Desert Rose Golfing Society, hosted by JA The Resort, Jebel Ali.
There were 11 rounds of play in all which began back in October, 2021. The season-long Order of Merit saw the best nine scores from the 10 qualifying events, plus the Grand Final score counting towards overall score for each player.
Agnes Anwar won the Best Gross Trophy with Alison Bryant-Melone in second place overall and Andrea Kjaedegaard in third place overall. Altogether 47 players competed during the season in this new event on the DRGS Calendar.
At DRGS, we are creating a genuine UAE-wide golfing community for ladies and have ambitious goals for 2022 and beyond, especially with the growth in our membership involving both golf and other non-golf activities, with the mantra of meeting old and new friends and most importantly - having fun around golf and golfers.

The Desert Rose Golfing Society is supported by the Emirates Golf Federation, Gulf News, BMW, JA Resorts and Hotels, Orient Travel, Golf Superstore, Car Buying People and Mediclinic. Membership is open to both members and non-members of the golf clubs with membership of the EGF with a valid handicap a stipulation.
