Jumeirah Golf Estates hosted its monthly Medalford, with over ninety players competing over the Fire course.
This month's OMA Emirates in Association with Christie's International Real Estate Dubai champion was Ricky Aybar (H'cap 2). Aybar shot a stunning Net 66 (6 under par) round on Saturday to become champion.
Aybar secured a net birdie, a net eagle, and five regular birdies. A particular run of form came on the back nine where he went birdie–birdie – net eagle. He had just two bogeys to show for his great round of 66.
In the Division A Category, Gerhard Vorster (H'cap 13) took the top spot. This was closely contested and determined through a card count-back.
Vorster had a superb round of net 68. His performance in club events at Jumeirah Golf Estates has been awe-inspiring.
The Division B winner was Russell Wilson (H'cap 14), with a score of net 70. This, again, was determined through a card count-back, with the gent's divisions being extremely well contested.
Shelia Mcilroy (H'cap 10) was the Ladies' winner this month with a score of net 70 which was two shots clear from the rest of the field.
In the Senior's Category, Anand Rajagopal (H'cap 13) won with a great score of net even par 72.
The Junior winner was Siddhaan Chhibber (H'cap 10), who, like Rajagopal, also shot a round of net even par 72.
The Gross winner was Marcus Dutton (H'cap +2) with a fantastic round of 73 (1 over par). Runner-up to Dutton by just one shot was Simon Howells, with a great score of gross 74.
The Stableford Category was won by Caleb Anderson (H'cap 13) with a superb score of 38 points. This, too, was determined by a count-back. Runner-up to Anderson was Tom Laing-Williams (H'cap 7), who also scored an imposing 38 Stableford points.
Whilst concluding the prize-giving presentation, Adam Stastny, Assistant Golf Services Manager, commented, "Congratulation's to all this month's winners.
