On Saturday the 20th of May Sharjah Golf and Shooting Clubs Bandenia Golf Society League came to its conclusion. The eagerly awaited final and third place play off saw the four remaining societies battled it out in a fourball better ball matchplay format to see which society would be crowned champions.

The final saw KEGS face up against the local knowledge of Sharjah Golf Society and what a match it was. Both matches were neck and neck for most of the afternoon until eventually both societies claimed one match each. This resulted in a sudden death play off, Sharjah Golf society managed to hold their nerve and claimed victory on the first extra hole. KEGS had to settle for this years runner up spot on what was a brilliant campaign from them.

In the third v fourth playoff the Nepalese Golf Society managed to overcome the overcome the challenge of FIGME and walk away with third place. Well done to all societies who have produced some brilliant golf throughout and as always played in a fun and friendly spirit.

As well as the final matches, the club had patrons’ day where captains, society members and sponsors were invited to play an individual stableford. This was won by Bose Prathap with a score of thirty nine points whilst Mel Stewart took home runners up spot on a score of thirty five points.
