Introduction to the new captains for the year: Campbell Steedman and Maria Avias

The format of the 18 hole tournament, which attracted 139 players in teams of four, was Fourball Scramble with the winning team scoring a net 55, 17 under par.
Team Robinsons and Newells won on a back nine countback from two other teams, over holes 10 – 18, with a net 11 under par.
Runners-up on the same score of net 55, were the team of Thomas Pashley, Lucas Roberts, Jamil Kabbaj and James Yeldham.
Third place on the day, also on net 55, was the team of Raj Janardhan, Edouard Meyer, Arbaaz Ahmad and Afzaal Ahmad.
The Prize Presentation and introduction of the new 2022 – 2023 EGC Club Captains: Campbell Steedman and Maria Avias, took place in the Emirates Golf Club Pavilion, the recently opened indoor function facility at the club.
Captain Steedman, presented a new trophy to the club, a two-handed Scottish Quaich, to be played for in the annual Mixed Season Opener, with replicas for the winners, a Scottish cup of friendship, symbolising trust on behalf of both the giver and receiver.
The awards were presented by the Captains to all the winning teams and individuals as well as the introductions to the respective Vice-Captains for the coming season: Frank Duggan and Fiona Berry.
