Dubai: Raymond Beard emerged the winner of the May edition of the OMA Emirates Medalford, in association with Christie’s International Real Estate on the Fire course of Jumeirah Golf Estates, which had 116 members in fray.
Beard shot an impressive net score of 68, which included six net birdies and a fantastic net eagle on hole 11 which was his last hole of the round.
The winner of the Gents’ Division ‘A’ by one shot with an excellent net score of 70 was Bryce Long. Bryce played very consistently considering the windy conditions scoring four net birdies in his round. Runner-up in the Gents Division A winning on a card playoff was Jonny Hall with a great net score of 71. Third place of the Gents Division A with a net score of 71 was Martin Issott.
The winner of the Gents’ Division ‘B’ on a card play-off with a net score of 72 was Rony El Haber. Scotty Booth was the runner-up of the Gents’ Division B, just missing out on a card play-off with a net score of 72. Third place of the Gents Division B with a net score of 74 was Danny Langston.
The winner in the Ladies Division on a card play-off with a net 72 was Roma Khanna, Roma beat JGE Lady Captain Sheila McIlroy on a countback shooting two under her handicap on the back nine.
Winning the Overall gross prize with a fantastic score of five-under par, 67 was Yash Majmudar. Yash played exceptionally well scoring a bogey free round. Taking second place in the Gross Division on a card playoff was Bilbo Perrot with a 72 gross.
Winning the Stableford Division was Ehtasham Uddin with 39 points and runner-up with 37 points was Mark Schoombie.
There was also a Beat-the-Pro challenge on the 11th hole that was set-up by Tim Backhouse, one of the Peter Cowen Academy Dubai professionals. Five golfers managed to hit their shots into the par 3 closer than Tim, with Martin Mcguigan being the winner of the draw.
