Jumeirah Golf Estates hosted the recent Race to Georgia powered by REZA Hygiene Qualifying Event, which saw 109 golfers compete on the Earth course.

The Race to Georgia Qualifying Event winner and earning a place in the Regional Final at Montgomerie Golf Club on Saturday 25th February, 2023, was Boris Krasnenkov (6) with a score of 40 Stableford points, four shots clear from the rest of the field. Krasnenkov finished with a gross 74, a particular highlight was his run of four birdies on holes 15 – 18 (two being net birdies), adding to another three he picked up throughout the round.

Three players had 36 Stableford points; Shane Hart-Jones (8) came runner-up, through a count-back and gaining the opportunity to play in the Regional Final. Hart-Jones had four birdies and a net eagle on his card to finish with a round of gross 80.

Cavit Yildiz was the lucky winner of the prize draw, gaining a place in the Regional Final.

There were eight on-course challenges up for grabs. The winner of Nearest-the-Pin on the 4th hole was Daniel Gribbin. Rob Duce won Nearest-the-Pin on the 6th hole with a shot to two feet from the hole. Winning Nearest-the-Pin on the 13th hole was Jack Smillie with a stunning shot. Nearest-the-Pin on the 17th hole was Michael Sokul.

Winning Nearest-the-Pin in 2 on the 9th hole was Alan McNamara. Winning Nearest-the-Pin in two on the 12th hole was Stuart Murray. Winning Nearest-the -Pin in 3 on the 18th hole was Martin Stewart. Winning the Longest Drive competition on the 14th hole was Michelle Walsh-Hall.

Keith Watson, Race to Georgia Tournament Series Organiser, took the opportunity to inform the members about this fantastic series of events and thanked all the series sponsors for their continued support, especially Papa Johns and dyson.
