Peter Cowen hosted an Emirates Golf Federation golf clinic for UAE national juniors and expats aged four to 18 at the Slync.io Dubai Desert Classic on Saturday.

On the Emirates Golf club driving range, Cowen — one of the world’s leading golf coaches — hosted around 30 golfers. Peter is this week looking after the following players: Henrik Stenson, DP World Ambassador Ian Poulter, Jazz Janewattananond, Danny Willett, Sean Crocker, Padraig Harrington, Abu Dhabi HSBC championship winner last week Thomas Pieters and Victor Perez. He also coaches Brooks Koepka.

The essence of the EGF clinic was all about quality practice and maximising the time allocated to golf, whether a junior, or adult or even a DP Word Tour professional. Swing speed and the basics were central to COwen’s clinic with a few of the junior golfers being invited to hit balls and showcase their skills in front of the group.

“I was hugely impressed with the skills of the juniors and their interest and focus on the game,’ Cowen said. “Attending were UAE national juniors as well as students from the Peter Cowen Academy at Emirates Golf Club. I look forward to catching up with these students on my next visit to Dubai and seeing if they have listened to what I have told them all today.”
