The UAE Final of the 2022 World Corporate Golf Challenge, supported by the Emirates Golf Federation, took place today at Arabian Ranches Golf Club, Dubai.
The winning pair was Ian Overton (5) and Stuart Quinn (1), representing Ro3, who scored an impressive 47 Stableford points.
Their card included balanced nines of 23 and 24 including gross birdies from Overton on holes 2, 10, 15 and 18, and from Quinn on holes 5, 6, 13 and 14.
One point
Runners-up, just one point behind the winners on 46 points were the pairing of Wael Soliman (13) and Mostafa Shahin (16) representing Microsoft / Map Completion Tech FZE.
The event attracted 30 teams. The format was Pairs Better-Ball Stableford with a maximum handicap of 22 for Men and 24 for Ladies with a 75% adjusted handicap allowance. Overton and Quinn qualify to play in the World Corporate Golf Challenge 2022 World Final in Tenerife, Spain, Monday 17th – Friday 21st October, 2022.
Included in the first prize package are flights and accommodation and participation in the World Final.
The Grand Final is a 36-hole event, Wednesday 19th October – Thursday 20th October, played over the Costa Adeje Golf course at Tenerife, Spain.
Players and guests from over 30 countries will compete in the World Final.
One million golfers
The World Corporate Golf Challenge represents one of the largest corporate golf tournaments in the world. Since its inception in 1993, WCGC has grown to such an extent that more than one million golfers have participated from over fifty countries.
