The 54 hole 2023 Abu Dhabi Golf Club Men’s Open starts tomorrow (Friday) over the National Course at Abu Dhabi Golf Club.

The event is the 15th of 17 on the 2022 – 2023 Emirates Golf Federation (EGF) Order of Merit as well as being a qualifying event for World Amateur Golf Rankings (WAGR - Men’s Division) supported by the R&A.

72 players are in the field, headlined by the top four in the current Order of Merit: Sam Mullane (JGE), Jonathan Selvaraj (Trump International Golf Club), Thomas Nesbitt (ADGC) and Dominic Morton (Trump International Golf Club).

Mullane, winner of the 2023 Emirates Amateur Open plays in the first threeball of the day at 7 am alongside Selvaraj, winner of the recent Saadiyat Beach Golf Club Men’s Amateur Open and Joe Jones (England).

The winner of this WAGR event, who is entitled to be on the EGF Order of Merit will receive 45 points, second place 36, third place 33, down to 20th place receiving six points.

There are two more events on the 2022 – 2023 EGF Men’s Order of Merit: the Jumeirah Golf Estates Men’s Amateur Open (WAGR) on 31st March – 2nd April, and the Tower Links Golf Club Men’s Open on 8th – 9th April.
