Jumeirah Golf Estates hosted the OMA Emirates Medalford in Association with Christie’s International Real Estate. There were 80 participants in the field for this month’s medal which was played on the Fire course.

The format was an individual stroke play on 95% of the course handicap. Participants were also asked to keep a record of their Stableford score with the chance to win additional prizes. The Ladies were playing off the orange tee markers and the gents playing off the OMA Emirates tee markers set up on the Fire course composite tee’s.

February’s OMA Emirates Medalford champion was Brandon Grieve (12), with a magnificent score of 67 net (5 under par). Brandon played some incredibly consistent golf, scoring a gross 40 on the front 9 and 39 on the back 9 picking up eight birdies on his round.

The Gents Division A winner with a wonderful score of 69 was David Warham (12). The runner-up was Anand Rajagopal (11) with a score of 70 net. In third place was Thomas Purdy (6) also with a score of 70 net and determined through a count-back.

In the Gents Division B, Mohammed Darwish (15) scored a net 69 having played some excellent golf. The runner-up was Dominik Oggenfuss (19) with a 70 net. In third place was Yaser Al Marzooqi (32) with a 71 net. This was a very impressive performance from Yaser who only took up golf four months ago.

The Ladies category winner was Willemikn Roeterdink (12) with a superb score of 71 net. Winning the seniors category was Jamal Marghoob (11) with a score of 71 net. The junior winner was Simon Astrom (6) with a score of 70 net.

The Gross category was won by David Bainbridge (0) with a score of 71 gross. The runner-up, determined through a count-back was Carl Downham (1) with a 72 gross.

In the Stableford category, it was Wael Soliman (22) who took the top spot with 39 points. Wael was closely followed by Noel O’Leary (7) who scored 38 points.

There were several on-course competitions; Nearest-the-Pin on hole two was Tauseef Khan (14). The Beat-the-Pro challenge set up by Diarmaid Frazer on hole 14 saw nine participants successfully put their shots within Diarmaid. Tauseef was also the lucky winner of the draw. Nearest the pin on the 11th hole was Jim Mercurio (2) who put his approach to within 3 feet of the hole.
