It was the return of the Jumeirah Pairs by The Lounge Spa on the immaculate Earth course at Jumeirah Golf Estates. There was a strong field of 46 pairs participating in the hot afternoon sun on Father’s Day.

The format was a Pairs Betterball Stableford where each player played their own ball, and the player with the best net stableford score on each hole counted towards the pair's score on the hole - the participants received 85% Course Handicap.

Mattias Rejman (8) and Mathias Bottern (4) claimed the top spot scoring a superb total of 47 points. Rejman and Bottern worked incredibly well as a team especially on the front nine, scoring a mighty 24 points.

The runners-up were Kieran Casey (14) and Harry Northrop (10), with an impressive score of 45 points. The pair played particularly well on the back nine, picking up 23 points.

Just falling short of the runners-up and picking up the third-place prize were Rylan Louis Lee (13) and Mohit Singh (9) with a score of 44 points.

There were two on-course competitions; winning Nearest the Pin on Hole 6 was Russell Wilson (11). Wilson hit a fantastic shot into the green, leaving his ball a couple of feet from the hole. There were five competitors that managed to put their ball within the 10 feet of Tommy Fleetwood Academy Teaching Professional, Diarmaid Fraser, but it was Howard Gough (20) who was drawn to win the beat the pro prize on Hole 13. A special shoutout goes to his Gough’s playing partner Alan Sheepwash, who also beat the pro, hitting the pin with his tee shot!

Whilst concluding the prize-giving presentation, Rory Stewart, Golf Services Executive at Jumeirah Golf Estates, commented, "A huge congratulations to all our prize winners today. It is fantastic to see such a brilliant turnout on such a hot afternoon. Thank you to The Lounge Spa team for their continued support of club events here at Jumeirah Golf Estates; your involvement provides an elevated experience for our participants."
