Emirates Golf Club recently hosted the annual Captains Matchplay Challenge which saw 36 pairings compete against each other over the Majlis Course, representing either Marivi Arias Lady Captains Team or Campbell Steedman’s Captains Team.
There was a lot of good golf played on the day with plenty of competitive action but as always, most importantly, lots of smiles on the faces of the members.
It was the Lady Captains team who was victorious by 4 points (LCT 11 – 7 CT). Both Captains paid tribute to the support of all Members throughout their captaincies and the true honor they both felt at having had the opportunity to represent Emirates Golf Club as Club Captains for 2022/2023.

- Nearest to the pin on hole 11 for lady competitors was won by Apoorva Gandhi
- Nearest to the pin on hole 7 for male competitors was won by David Ringrose
- Nearest to the pin on hole 15 for male competitors was won by Maneesh Dungarwal
- Nearest to the pin in two on hole 9 for all competitors was won by Apoorva Gandhi
- Nearest to the pin in three on hole 18 for all competitors was won by Sanjay Dhandsa
- Straightest drive on hole 10 for all competitors was won by Achal Ghai & Young Joon Ahn
