The early morning call at 5.15am to complete my second round at 7.30 am was well worth it. With six holes remaining to play I knew I had to be three under par, so there was no room for any errors.

I managed to birdie holes 15 and 16. Then I birdied hole 18. I hit a driver, a 3 wood and chipped and holed a 9-foot putt. My emotions were all about relief and happiness.

I was chuffed.

I was inundated from messages from all my friends at my home golf club, Trump International in Dubai. I want to repeat to all the great support I have received from the management and the members, day in and day out. It is a special club.

I then had to regroup, settle down, chill out and have a bit of food and be prepared for my third round with an 11.50 am tee time alongside England's Matt Wallace and Chris Paisley.

A couple of double bogeys on the front nine (Holes 10-18) saw me out in 38. I was not putting great. Then suddenly something clicked and I went birdie, birdie and eagle on holes 5, 6 and 7. I holed a 40 foot putt on hole 5 and made a final birdie on the 9th, my last hole of the day. I managed 6 birdies and an eagle in the round.

Tomorrow I am teeing off at 8.48 am with play in threeballs and paired with Ryan Fox  of New Zealand and Denmark's Joachim B Hansen.

This is new territory for me and I am looking for a special final day. It is the old cliche, one shot at a time. I am tied 44th as we speak. Hopefully you can watch me at the golf course or on TV.
