JA The Resort hosted the recent JA Lake View Rooftop Charity Challenge, part of the Official 2022 Slync.io Dubai Desert Classic Tournament Week on the DP World Tour
The event was held at Jebel Ali at the end of January, at the Bibe lounge overlooking the nine-hole course.
Global Ambassador for JA Resorts and Hotels Rafa Cabrera Bello visited the Al Jalila Foundation Offices in Dubai this week to make the presentation of the cheque for Dh15,000, on behalf of England’s Paul Casey, the other six players participating in the Challenge and himself, to the Foundation, along with management and officials from JA The Resort.
The JA The Resort Rooftop Challenge took place on the Monday of the Dubai Desert Classic week with star golfers Adri Arnaus, Charl Schwartzel, Danny Willett, Grant Forrest, Henrik Stenson, Sam Bennett, Casey and Cabrera Bello taking part. Casey, the 2021 Dubvai Desert Classic champion, won the Rooftop Challenge event. The hole measured 96 yards from the artificial deck on the rooftop.
Director of Golf at JA The Resort, Stuart McMurdo, said: “We were privileged to host this event, once again, after its inception in 2020. We had a great night and our cheque presentation to the Al Jalila Foundation ensures that such a worthy cause benefited from the event involving the DP World Tour players.”
At the Al Jalila Foundation presentation, JA The Resort’s name was engraved on to the ‘Wall of Honour’ of donors.
Cabrera Bello said: “We had such fun at the challenge during the Dubai Desert Classic week. I am not only an Ambassador of JA Resorts and Hotels, I am also a huge fan of the facilities and all the people in the organisation.”
