Issa Abou El Ela has won the 2022 Abu Dhabi Amateur Championship, after a 54 winning score of nine under par.

The Egyptian started the day four shots clear of Ireland’s Brandon St John in second place and Scotland’s Cameron Mukherjee a further three shots behind at two under par.

The 24-year-old will now tee it up with the world’s best at Yas Links Golf Club in the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship in just five weeks’ time on the DP World Tour.
