The weekly 'Thursday Curry Club' took place once again this week at Jumeirah Golf Estates, this time played over the front 9 holes of the Earth course. A field size of 32 golfers in humid weather conditions as the event was battled in a Pairs Scramble format. The winners of the day scoring net 28, -8 under par were Richard Green and David Warham.

The winning duo of Green and Warham made it one better than last week when they finished in second spot. Clearly on a wave of good form, they also won the recent Jumeirah Pairs by The Lounge Spa as the pair came back to win by three shots. Victory in the 'Thursday Curry Club' was helped en route by scoring six birdies throughout their round, an impressive display of golf!

Second place went to Mark Schofield and Simon Pearson who had an impressive score of net 31, -5 under par, completing a bogey-free round.

Third place with a score of net 33, -3 under par winning on a three way count back, was the team of Kieran Casey and Craig Wylie, recording two gross birdies on their scorecard!

Congratulations to Jane Vorster for winning the longest drive whilst Edward McCullagh won the Nearest the Pin.

To present the prizes Adam Stastny, Assistant Golf Services Manager at Jumeirah Golf Estates invited Evelyn Downham, Lady Captain at JGE to the stage. Concluding the prize-giving presentation, Stastny thanked everyone for participating. “This weekly event held over the Earth course and here at Kasturi restaurant is an excellent platform for members to enjoy a casual competition, connect with like-minded individuals, and introduce friends to the club. Once again thank you for being a part of this week’s event and hope to see you at this weekend’s competition, The Open Championship Scramble.”
