Dubai: A new golfing initiative, Junior Golfers Practice for Free in August at MyGolf Dubai, announced by MyGolf in Dubai allows all junior golfers in the UAE to practice for free at MyGolf Dubai during the month of August, between 10am and 3pm from Monday to Friday, excluding National Holidays.
Sam Bahl, MD Business Development at MyGolf Dubai, at the launch said: “We decided to open up our 14 Golfzon Golf Simulator facility to all junior golfers, both boys and girls, aged 18 years and under, based in Dubai and the UAE to our climate-controlled facility at Dragon Mart 2, Dubai.
“MyGolf Dubai is committed to growing the game in all sectors of the golf space in Dubai and this region, alongside our supportive partners and with the current challenging outdoor heat, we have committed to this month of Junior Golf in August.”
First-come-first-served basis
Supported by US Kids Golf and Gulf News, bookings are being taken on a first-come-first-served basis, through the MyGolf Dubai Reservations, 052-1492893.
A maximum of one hour’s practice is allowed per junior in any one session, with players, where appropriate, being paired up with other juniors to maximise the availability and numbers that can be accommodated.
“In addition to the free practice, there will also be a Skills Challenge supported by US Kids Golf,” said Bahl.
Special target competition
This Challenge can be taken at any time during the August initiative, Monday-Friday.
Players can enter by paying Dh50 per person per attempt in a special target golf competition. Prizes will be presented on a weekly basis, in age categories.
MyGolf Dubai is located in Dragon Mart 2, Dubai and houses 14 Golfzon Golf Simulators and is referred to as the Middle East’s first luxury indoor golf entertainment centre.
