This week four year-old Finn Tilston won the Divisional Prize in the ‘Junior Golfers Practice for Free in August’ initiative at MyGolf Dubai supported by US Kids Golf.
Finn’s mother Lauren, said, “My husband, Ben, found out about the Junior Golf initiative at MyGolf Dubai, through Gulf News and since then Finn has been coming here every day he can. He is loving hitting balls and playing all the different games on the golf simulators. We are travelling on Friday, but we will make sure he gets as much practice with his new prize clubs from US Kids Golf at MyGolf Dubai before we leave and we will be back here after our travels. Finn loves it at MyGolf Dubai.”
Sam Bahr, MD of Business Development at MyGolf Dubai, said, “It is great to see Finn and so many boys and girls of all ages and all levels of technical ability, like Finn, visiting us on a regular basis at our climate controlled Golfzon simulator facility in Dragon Mart 2. The aim of the initiative was to encourage more golf activities for juniors and awareness for all golfers in the hot summer months in Dubai and to showcase our facilities."
Golf lessons
He added, "We are all keen at MyGolf Dubai, aligned with our five PGA Golf Professionals to create a Junior Golf Programme of golf lessons for the coming golf season as well as work alongside the Emirates Golf Federation, the other Golf Clubs in Dubai and the UAE as well as schools, and to be part of the Junior Golf eco-system of Dubai and the UAE with a Junior Golf Calendar of events, not just for elite juniors, but for all juniors involving Junior Leagues and so much more. We are up for this and look forward to having some conversations.”
The ‘Junior Golfers Practice for Free in August’ initiative at MyGolf Dubai continues for the rest of the month, Monday – Friday, 10 am – 3 pm for those aged 18 and under.
