Dubai: Five golfers are in contention for the Senior Golfer of the Season as the 2021-2022 UAE Senior Champions Tour Season comes to a close next Wednesday at Emirates Golf Club.
After six qualifying events that began in October last year, only a few points separates the top five with Sultan Mahmood leading with 36 points based on best four events and the Grand Finale promises to be an exciting event.
Each event is conducted as an individual Stableford event based on a player’s Handicap Index. Two divisions, each having a winner and two runners-up are awarded a trophy and prizes at every event.
All members of The Senior Champions Tour, who must hold a valid Emirates Golf Federation Handicap, are eligible to enter the Order of Merit for the season and the golfer who accumulates the most points in four out of six events is awarded the Order of Merit Trophy.
The top three winners of the Order of Merit will be eligible to participate in the Dubai World Tour Pro Am at Al Hamra Golf Club, Ras Al Khaimah in early 2023, courtesy of General Abdulla Al Hashemi, Vice-Chairman of the Emirates Golf Federation.
The The Senior Champions Tour has the following partners and supporters: RSA Global, FOSROC, EGolf Megastore, BMW AGMC, Bisdesk and De Luca Sartoria.
