The membership take-up since our recent launch has been impressive and we expect many more new members to join the Desert Rose Golfing Society as the season starts and the awareness of all our activities grows around the UAE.
The objective of DRGS, a non-profit organisation, is to create a UAE-wide golfing community for lady golfers embracing golfers of all standards, all with the support of the Emirates Golf Federation with the aim of improving the standard of play and having fun, both on and off the golf course, along the way. Membership is Dh1,000 per year with a busy golfing calendar and many benefits as part of the DRGS package including access to driving ranges and trips abroad.
We are also excited to see Abu Dhabi Golf Club hosting the 2021 Women’s Amateur Asia-Pacific Championship to be held November 10-13, and we are making plans for a DRGS trip to attend and support an important tournament on the women’s calendar, subject to COVID-19 government regulations.
