Christopher Andrews (3) returned a Gross two under par 70 to win the Rivoli Monthly Medal at Arabian Ranches Golf Club last weekend.
Christopher swept aside the competition and performed brilliantly on a day where the extreme heat took its toll on many of the competitors. Christopher is a regular competitor in the Monthly Medal as he managed to defeat a strong full field packed with single figure golfers capable of shooting low scores. The Champion had consistent nines of 36 and 34 to win by seven shots from his Scratch League teammate Andrew Whittle who took the runner-up spot.
The Division A Net title and round of the day belonged to Martin Taylor (11) who posted a brilliant Net 68. Runner-up spot went to Patrick McSheffrey (12) after posting a Net 68 loosing via virtue of a count back.
In Division B Net title Andrey Revenko (26) posted a seventeen over par, Net 63 to win by a long shot against Alfonso Gutierrez (20) at Net 68.
Mark Gathercole (Club Captain) & Nicola Breeze (Lady Club Captain) hosted the prize presentation and commented “We want to thank all the members who participated in this month’s members medal and The Rivoli Group as well for their generous support in one of the clubs’ monthly flagships events.”
