Dubai based Chiara Noja (Ger), shot a final round level par of 72 in the 54-hole €40,000 Santander Golf Tour Malaga at Torrequebrada in Spain on the Ladies European Tour Access Series (LETAS).

The 16 year-old started slowly with two bogeys in her opening four holes.

A birdie on hole seven saw her out in 37.

A mixed bag of all sorts on the back nine saw bogeys on holes 12 and 15, but birdies on holes 14, and on the two final holes, saw Chiara sign for a level par 72 and a tied 11th finish on +3.

The hilly Torrequebrada course was played this week at 6,041 yards, par 72.

All over

Commenting after her final round to Gulf News, Chiara, said, "I am so relieved it is all over for a while. I survived this week, but I was always hanging on. You can see from my scores in all three rounds, that my usual consistency was not there this week. I am going to have a week off with family and friends and will not touch a golf club. I will have no thoughts about golf, I will be just a normal teenager, who has not seen her Mum for three months. My next competitive round of golf will be on 3rd August, in the Vasteras Open presented by Padelpitch, co-sanctioned on the Ahlsell Nordic Golf Tour."

The winner this week was the Czech Republic’s Sara Kouskova with a brilliant final round of 67 to go with her opening rounds of 74 and 70 for a five under par score for a one stroke victory.

Chiara extends her lead in both the season long 2022 LETAS Order of Merit and the LETAS Rookie of the Year Rankings.

A summary of her LETAS season to date shows impressive consistency with no result worse than tied 14th and seven top finishes including a ‘W’ in the Czech Republic in early June.
