Jumeirah Golf Estates hosted the Peter Cowen Academy Dubai (PCAD) Junior Medal Grand Final over the Fire course.

The final event of the season saw 22 Juniors take part, with players from; Jumeirah Golf Estates, Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club and Emirates Golf Club. Throughout the season the programme has seen 54 juniors compete in these regular events. The Fire course was in very good condition, but the afternoon breeze added an extra element to the day.

Winning the best net score on the day with a score of four under was Jameel Choudry (EGC). Jameel played brilliantly managing to score five net birdies on the front nine on the Fire course. Runner-up in the Net Division who narrowly missed out by one shot, with a score of three under, was Audrey Wulff (DCGYC). Audrey scored three net birdies and a net eagle in just nine holes.

'Beat the Pro'

Winning the best gross on the day with a score of 37 (one over Par) was Ties Wolters (JGE). Ties played superbly scoring two notable birdie twos on holes 2 and 8.

On the day there was a ‘Beat the Pro’ Challenge on hole 8 that was set-up by Diarmaid Fraser, one of the Peter Cowen Academy Dubai professionals. Winning a lesson with Diarmaid was Samarbir Kochar.

Throughout the season there was an PCAD Order of Merit for both Net and Gross Divisions. The winner of the Net Order of Merit was Siddhaan Chhibber who accumulated a whopping 585 points. Siddhaan played in eight events during the course of the season finishing runner-up in five of them. Runner-up in the Net Order of Merit was Jameel Choudry with 495 points and in third place with 325 points was Alexander Rushika.

Six events

The winner of the Gross Order of Merit with 425 points was Zach Gould. Zach played in six events throughout the season winning the gross award in two of them and a runner-up spot in another.

Whilst concluding the prize giving presentation, Gareth Roberts, Tournament Executive at Jumeirah Golf Estates, commented, “Congratulations to all the winners on their fantastic performances today and over the course of the season.
