Burley wins Order of Merit event on Senior Champions Tour at Arabian Ranches

Arabian Ranches Golf Club hosted the most recent leg of Senior Champions Tour. Marcus Burley took top spot in Division A with an impressive 43 Stableford points for a nine-point victory from runner-up Eui Yong-jeon, who scored 34 points.

In Division B (13+), Sultan Mahmood took first place with 38 points, just one point ahead of runner-up Mike Copping.

The Guest Division was won by PT Jain with 39 points.

Vijay Vasu, co-founder of Golf & Co, the organisers of the Senior Champions Tour said: “Thanks to all for their support. With the impact of Covid-19 to the season-long Senior Champions Tour Order of Merit, the revised number of qualifying events will be the best four scores from the six events.”

Vice-Chairman of the Emirates Golf Federation (EGF), General Abdullah Alhashmi donated donated a Pro-Am team of three amateurs for the 2023 Ras Al Khaimah Championship on the DP World Tour next year, where they will play alongside DP World Tour players.

Vasu thanked Alhashmi and the EGF for this kind gesture.

“We look forward to having further discussions with the EGF and collaborating moving forward for our mutual benefit. We are excited with this EGF alliance and where it can take us all with The Senior Champions Tour,” he said.

The next event on the Senior Champions Tour is at Trump International on March 16, with the final at Emirates Golf Club - on the Faldo Course - to be played on April 20.
