Abu Dhabi based Brit Luke Joy has successfully made it through First Stage of DP World Tour Qualifying School.

Joy, who is originally from Dorset, qualified at Donnington Grove in the UK alongside 24 other players who made it through that qualifying stage.

Rounds of 72, 66, 68 and 73 for a tournament total of nine under par were enough for a tie for 6th place in the 103 man field.

Once the final two stages of First Stage are complete. Joy will move onto one of four destinations in Spain between the 2nd – 5th November for Second Stage.

DP World Tour card the goal

If he qualifies through that stage, he will be into the Final Stage at Infinitum Golf, Tarragona, Spain with the chance of a DP World Tour card up for grabs.

In Joy’s career to date he has competed in the 2015, 2017 & 2018 Omega Dubai Desert Classic at Emirates Golf Club, as well as a DP World Tour, Challenge Tour, Asian Tour and MENA Tour events.
