Cosmin steps down as Al Ahli Dubai coach

Dubai: UAE's former manager Mahdi Ali has replaced Cosmin Olaroiu in Shabab Al Ahli Dubai.

It is learnt that Olaroiu stepped down after mutual consent with the club.

Under Olaroiu, a Romanian football manager and former player, Al Ahli won the Arabian Gulf League and Arabian Gulf Cup twice.

However, following  the merger of three clubs this season, Shabab Al Ahli Dubai are down in fifth place, seven points behind leaders Al Wasl.
