TERMS & CONDITIONS
This promotion is brought to you by Emirates, whose principal office is at Emirates Group Headquarters, PO Box 686, Dubai, United Arab Emirates ("Emirates") and by Gulf News who is a member of Al Nisr Publication LLC, whose principle office is at Po Box 6519, Dubai, UAE (the "Sponsors")

By entering the promotion set out below (the "Promotion") you guarantee that you have the authority to accept (and do accept) these terms and conditions (the "Rules").

The Sponsors reserve the right to cancel or amend the Rules in its absolute discretion and without prior notice due to unusual, unforeseeable events beyond the Sponsors' reasonable control including, but not limited to, any actual, anticipated or alleged breach of any applicable law or regulation.

In the event of any dispute regarding the Rules or the conduct, results and all other matters relating to the Promotion, the Sponsors' decision shall be final and binding and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.

Qualifying Participant

You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and a UAE Resident in order to be eligible to enter the Promotion ("Qualifying Participant").
Employees or agents of the Sponsors or anyone else connected to the Promotion and/or their immediate family is not allowed to participate in the Promotion.
Qualifying SMS
The Sponsors will publish a cricket-related question every day for ten (10) days between September 8th and September 17th ("Offer Period") and Qualifying Participants can SMS their answer to the designated SMS number provided with that day's question.
Every correct answer will eligible for entry into the Promotion (the "Qualifying SMS").
The Qualifying Participant is entitled to multiple entries into the Promotion.

Rules of Entry

All Qualifying SMSs made during the Offer Period will be automatically entered into a prize draw.
The prize draw will be held on the [17th September, 2009] at the Gulf News office on Sheikh Zayed Road at.
The prizes available are as follows
- 1st Prize: Two (2) return business class airline tickets from Dubai to Johannesburg on Emirates departing on 1 October 2009 and returning 6 October 2009. A five (5) night stay for two (2) people at the Holiday Inn, Sandton, and two (2) tickets to watch the semi-finals and final of the Champions Trophy on 2 October, 3 October and 5 October 2009.
- 2nd Prize: Two (2) return economy class airline tickets from Dubai to Johannesburg on Emirates departing on 1 October 2009 and returning 6 October 2009 and two (2) tickets to watch the semi-finals and final of the Champions Trophy on 2 October, 3 October and 5 October 2009.

The winners (the "Winning Entrants") will be notified by Gulf News via telephone and Winning Entrants' names will be published in the Gulf News newspaper. The Winning Entrant irrevocably agrees and consents to Al Nisr Publishing LLC's use of amongst other the Winning Entrant's name and/ or likeness, photographs, Personal Information provided and/or any statement made by them concerning the Promotion in all media in perpetuity throughout the world as it deems fit in its sole discretion. The Winning Entrant hereby cedes and assigns all intellectual property rights and interests in the aforementioned to Al Nisr Publishing LLC.

The airline tickets are valid on Emirates services only and are non-transferable, non-re-routable and non-endorsable to any other airlines and cannot be exchanged for cash. The Sponsors reserves the rights in sole discretion at any time to substitute the airline tickets to another destination or a prize of equal or greater value in the event the prizes become unavailable. Cash or credit alternatives will not be offered.

Any travel expenses and additional expenses incurred in connection with the utilisation of the prizes are payable solely by the winner. These additional expenses may include, but are not limited to, any locally payable taxes, costs associated to obtaining visas, transfers to and from the airports, transfers to and from the cricket matches.

The Winning Entrants will be solely responsible for any entry visa they require for entry into South Africa. The Sponsors accept no responsibility for the Winning Entrants' failure to obtain all necessary visas.

Participants in this Promotion (including the Winning Entrants) may not assign or transfer all or a part of their rights or benefits granted under this Promotion. No right or benefit assignment or transfer shall be valid. The Winning Entrant may lose its right to utilise the prizes if he or she does not exercise it within the period set forth by Emirates.

The Winning Entrant must provide all necessary information to Emirates for issuance of the airline tickets and the airline tickets must be issued and collected within the time period specified by Emirates when collecting this information, otherwise they will be forfeited. No change in travel dates will be entertained. If a potential Winning Entrant cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim or provide necessary information or collect any airline tickets, such airline tickets will be forfeited.

Personal Information

Information you provide or that is obtained by the Sponsors under the Promotion may be used by the Sponsors in order to review, develop and improve the services which they offer.

Sponsors' Liability

The Sponsors and/or their affiliates are not liable in any way for any costs, expenses, damages, liability or injury arising out of or in any way connected with the Promotion. This exclusion does not include any liability for damages for death or personal injury caused solely by the negligence of the Sponsors.
The Sponsors accept no liability (and excludes all liability) for any loss of profit, business, contracts, revenues or anticipated savings or for special, direct, indirect or consequential loss of any nature howsoever arising.
The Sponsors shall not be liable to perform any of its obligations under the Promotion where it is unable to do so as a result of circumstances beyond its reasonable control and shall not be liable to compensate you in such circumstances.
You undertake the Promotion at your own risk and agree to indemnify the Sponsors against all costs, losses, damages, expenses and liabilities (including for loss of reputation and goodwill and professional advisors' fees) and any claim arising from your own actions in any way in connection with the Promotion or a breach of your obligations hereunder.

Law

Any Rules which are held to be invalid or unenforceable in any jurisdiction shall whenever allowed by the context be deemed to be replaced by such valid and enforceable terms and conditions whose contents are as close as permissible to those of the invalid or unenforceable Rules.
Participation in this Promotion is void in any country in which it is prohibited or otherwise rendered void by any applicable law or regulation. The Sponsors make no representation or warranty that the Promotion is permitted by law in any particular country.
These Rules are governed by the laws of and applicable in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
