Yas Island shines bright for Disney theme park reveal

In a breathtaking celebration that captivated thousands, over 9,000 drones lit up the night sky, setting a new regional record and creating a visual spectacle that embodied the magic of Disney.

The event at Yas Links drew a glittering crowd of international celebrities, dignitaries, and media personalities.

The Yas Island Disney resort will become Disney’s seventh theme park destination globally, joining its existing locations in California, Florida, Tokyo, Paris, Hong Kong and Shanghai.

Hollywood icon Tyrese Gibson, supermodel Naomi Campbell, music legend Nancy Ajram, fashion influencer Chiara Ferragni, and actor Ed Westwick were high-profile attendees celebrating this monumental milestone.

Guests were treated to a world-class performance featuring acclaimed pianist Lang Lang, beloved Emirati singer Rashed Alnuaimi, West End star Kerry Ellis, and classical vocalist Sonya Balsara—a lineup that added a grand theatrical flair to the evening’s festivities.

The upcoming Disney resort will be the company’s seventh global theme park destination and its first in the Middle East.
