In a three-day vaccination drive organised by Gurunanak Singh Darbar, Sikh place of worship in Dubai, over 5000 residents of UAE were administered the vaccination for COVID-19.

Praising the initiative of the UAE government, Surinder Singh Kandhari, the chairman of the Gurudwara told Gulf News, “At the moment the UAE is one of the best places to be in. Every resident has been provided with the opportunity to the two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine free-of-charge. We are blessed to be in this place and are happy to cooperate with the government on the vaccination drive.”

Kandhari also added that efforts were on to organise a second vaccination campaign soon and approvals were underway.

“While the first batch of 5,100 people who received the vaccination will receive their second dose in 21 days, we are also making efforts to organising a fresh drive for vaccination which will be announced soon.”
