Photos: The Opus in Dubai listed as one of 'The most anticipated buildings set to shape the world in 2020'

@CNNStyle has listed Dubai's 'Opus' in it's list of 'The most anticipated buildings set to shape the world in 2020'.

The building takes the form of a glass-fronted cube punctured with an asymmetric hole that appears to bulge at the seams.

It was the first building that renowned designer Zaha Hadid designed for a Dubai client. The Iraqi–British architect became the first woman to win the Pritzker Prize, architecture’s Nobel in 2004. She was awarded the Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire for services to architecture in 2012 and received the RIBA’s 2016 royal gold medal.

On December 31, @omniyatofficial announced on Instagram: "The Opus by Omniyat has just been selected as one of the top 10 hotels in the world for 2019. The 5-star ME Hotel, located in the mixed-use Opus Tower, is set to open in February 2020 and is the first hotel to be completely designed by the late star architect Dame Zaha Hadid."

Located within Burj Khalifa district of Dubai, the Opus is designed as two separate towers that coalesce into a singular whole, taking the form of a cube. The two towers are linked by a four-storey atrium at ground level and also connected by an asymmetric 38-m wide three-storey brdge that is 71 meters above the ground. The free-formed fluidity of the Opus' eight-storey void contrasts with the precise orthogonal geometry of it's surrounding cube
