Photos: The Founder’s Memorial celebrates its third anniversary

Under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, The Founder’s Memorial, a permanent national tribute to the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, was inaugurated on Monday 26 February 2018 in an official ceremony in the capital, Abu Dhabi.

The Memorial is today celebrating its third anniversary that took place in 2018 through the unveiling of the centerpiece of the site, a monumental artwork named The Constellation.

The inauguration of the Memorial coincided with the President of the UAE, declaring 2018 to be the ‘Year of to mark the 100-year anniversary of Sheikh Zayed’s birth.

The Founder’s Memorial was designed to help the new generation have a deeper understanding of the influence of the great leader and founding father of the UAE. There’s a lot to observe and learn at the Founder’s Memorial Abu Dhabi.

The main attraction at the Founder’s Memorial Abu Dhabi is the Constellation.

Built by internationally renowned artist Ralph Helmick, it is a three-dimensional portrait of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. You can view it from three directions and at night, The Constellation shines like a star.
