The talks, held at Hyderabad House in New Delhi as part of Sheikh Khaled’s official visit to India, aimed at discussing ways to enhance the longstanding economic cooperation between the UAE and India.

During the meeting, Sheikh Khaled and Prime Minister Modi discussed the comprehensive bilateral relations within the framework of the strategic partnership between the UAE and India. They explored ways to further develop and enhance these relations in light of the continuous progress seen across various areas of cooperation, benefiting both nations and their peoples.

Modi welcomed Sheikh Khaled to India, expressing his wishes for a successful visit. He also conveyed his best wishes to the President of the UAE, hoping for continued progress and prosperity for the UAE and its people. Modi praised Sheikh Mohamed’s wise leadership of the UAE and commended the growing relations between the two nations across various sectors.

Sheikh Khaled observed a one-minute silence and laid a wreath of flowers at the shrine of Mahatma Gandhi, paying respects to the father of Indian independence and his significant contributions to the country's development.

He also tended to trees planted by the UAE's Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, at Raj Ghat memorial in 1975, and President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at the same site in 2016, during their respective visits to India

At the conclusion of the visit, Sheikh Khaled wrote a message in the guestbook. The note reads, "Mahatma Gandhi will always be immortalised in the hearts of his people and the entire world for his sacrifices that promoted the values of love and peace. Similarly, our Founding Father, Sheikh Zayed, instilled these same noble values worldwide through his legacy of generosity and humanitarian action."
