When Bill Clinton left the White House, he moved to Chappaqua, New York, his wife Hillary Clinton’s home base. From here, Clinton took on a prolific agenda of public speaking along with two common post-presidential pasttimes: building a library (which he did in Little Rock, Arkansas) and writing a memoir. He is also very involved in social issues through the Clinton Presidential Foundation, which works on racial and ethnic reconciliation and promoting the economic empowerment of poor people.
