Eid Al Adha prayers performed throughout the UAE

Eid Al Adha prayers were performed throughout the country on Tuesday (July 20, 2021) amid COVID-19 protocols.

Eid Al Adha — the Festival of Sacrifice — is one of two major festivals in Islam, and is a holiday celebrated by all Muslims.

Arafat Day marks the second day of Haj, or pilgrimage and is the day before the first day of Eid.

Earlier, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation in the UAE announced Eid Al Adha holidays from July 19 to July 22. 

The UAE of Human Resources and Emiratisation announced that the holiday for Eid Al Adha for the private sector in the country will start on 9th Dhu Al Hijjah (Day of Arafat), corresponding Monday, July 19, and will end on Thursday, July 22, 2021.
