The Middle East Fashion Week, the four-day fashion spectacle and trade event which kicked off on November 7 in Dubai, has brought together a string of regional talents including Garimon Couture, House of Victor, Aaronic Atelier, Valeriya Asad, Sofi Lam-Viri and Billioness, under one runway.

Dubai-based designer Michael Cinco, whose gowns have been worn by the likes of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan at Cannes Film Festival red carpet, is one of the many established and talented designers who will showcase their designs at the second edition of MEFW, organised by IFZA. In a statement, Cinco said this about his collection which he will showcase tonight: “Contemporary and timeless, it’s all about ultra-feminine women who are strong and independent but still elegant and ethereal.”

Designer Irena Soprana's creations saw models wearing glittering gowns with plunging V-necklines and exaggerated shoulders. The sharp silhouettes and body-hugging gowns were paired with dazzling headgear lending a lot of drama and flair.

Simon J Lo Gatto, founder and CEO of MEFW and MEFC, in statement promised that the second edition will be filled with talents from this region and beyond. In a statement, he said: “Prepare yourself for showstopping collections by young designers who are bringing their A game to the event, and are going the extra mile to deliver new ranges. We look forward to buyers from across the region to see them up close in our showrooms”

Dubai-based designer Amato Couture, who has dressed up Former Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach and other numerous celebrities, will showcase his collection tomorrow at MEFW. The second edition, which saw dozens of talents designers, trunk shows, and panel discussions on fashion take place, may soon become the go-to fashion event for this city.
