Bastille Day is France’s national day, and takes place every year on July 14. Each year on July 14, known in France as ‘le quatorze juillet’. The event usually includes fireworks and military parades. It marks the anniversary of the storming of the grand fortress during the start of the French Revolution in 1789. This Tuesday, Dubai’s French restaurants and bistros will be celebrating Bastille Day. Here’s where you can go to get in on the action.

LA CANTINE DU FAUBOURG: La Cantine is throwing a Fete National and offering a special set menu to share. It’s a little bit on the pricey side, but expect a fun atmosphere and amazing food. The menu features Foie Gras, Escargot, lamb chops, seabass and mille feuille. The set menu also includes a bottle of grape to share between two. Where: Jumeirah Emirates Towers. On July 14, Deliveroo and French favorite restaurant Carine have come together to create an exclusive limited-edition classic French Caramel Mille-Feuille dessert. This Caramel Mille-Feuille, much like Carine’s cuisine, is straightforward and made with authentic French ingredients. Layered with salted caramel, a dash of crème fraîche and creamy fresh Beurre de Baratte, folded into the dough. BISTRO DES ARTS: This Bastille Day, Bistro des Arts celebrate their national day in collaboration with Chapoutier grapery. Treat yourself to the master planche – a grazing board for two people, complete with a selection of charcuterie, cheese and bottle of De Marius to share.
