Bezos, 57, will be replaced in the summer by Andy Jassy, who runs Amazon's cloud-computing business. In a blog post to employees, Bezos said he planned to focus on new products and early initiatives being developed at Amazon. Mr Bezos, 57, founded Amazon in his garage in 1994 and went on to grow it into a colossus that dominates online retail, with operations in streaming music and television, groceries, cloud computing, robotics, artificial intelligence and more.

Among the leaders, Google's parent Alphabet's CEO Sundar Pichai was among the first to wish Bezos farewell as the chief officer of Amazon. So who is Andy Jassy? Andy Jassy who joined Amazon in 1997 as a marketing manager and made its Cloud arm Amazon Web Services (AWS) a distinct leader, will take over as Amazon CEO in about six months and for him, more enterprises need to unlock digital transformation and begin their Cloud journey post-pandemic.

A private guy like Bezos, in his Twitter bio, Jassy describes himself as "married" and the "father of two kids". He is also a self-proclaimed "big sports/music/film fan," and an "experienced buffalo wings eater". For him, India is one of the fastest growing markets.
