It’s time. As winter sweeps the land with a cool breeze and temperatures relax enough to allow outdoor plans, it’s the perfect period to head to Expo 2020. It helps that the schools are on a break and a merry time is afoot. But if you really want to hear your child’s squeal of pleasure, head on over to The Kid’s Winter Festival, running until January 8 at Festival Garden, Wadi Avenue, Jubilee Park. Here’s a look at the reasons to drive over… now.

It’s a financially friendly visit – you pay for a day pass (Dh95 for the month) and kids and young adults i.e. those under 18, get in for free. The festival is on from noon until 12am weekdays and 2am weekends, which means you can spend the whole day here even if you don’t take a break to hit the pavilions, which – trust us – you will.
