Addressing the audience at the Grand Theatre, Dr Shaikh Sultan said: “AUS would be an important educational centre, which would contribute greatly to development throughout the Gulf region. It is the beginning of a new, distinguished era in the field of education.” The universities, he added, should be real training centres and workshops, producing graduates who can easily integrate with the community and develop it.
