‘Every person has the right to follow their faith, but one must learn to respect other religions’
I strongly believe all faiths show the path of love, humanity and integration. Nowadays, it’s very common to read and hear about riots, suicide attacks and blasts based on communal disputes. I fail to understand the reason behind the fire and violence in this beautiful world. My heart melts and blood boils when I hear about the innocent victims who lose their lives in blasts, massacre and wars.
The most shaming fact is that many groups and people are doing this all in the name of religion and faith. Every person has the right to follow his or her faith but, at the same time, one must learn to regard other religions. No religion says we should hate or fight, but all religions have one strong message and that is love and respect for others.
I read this meaningful line from an American singer/songwriter, Julian Casablancas, who said: “Religion is never the problem; it’s the people who use it to gain power.”
This quote is so correct and meaningful to me. We should love and respect each other. If you find someone in trouble, help that fellow human being. Show mercy and always provide a helping hand to the poor. This world is a precious and beautiful place to live but, unfortunately, some selfish, cruel and greedy humans are spreading hatred and bitter feelings in society. Sometimes the youth get easily influenced with these negative powers, and this can lead to the destruction of society. Innocent children and victims lose their lives in all this, and it is tragic.
