Wheels of justice grind slowly in US
For the past 13 years O.J. Simpson has walked freely after being acquitted on charges of killing his former wife and a friend.
The results of that first trial have long been subject to debate: A televised trial, a top-rate legal team, a judge who lost control of his court, allowing it to be influenced by outside forces.
The glove didn't fit, so the jury did acquit.
Later, Simpson was held responsible in a civil trial for the killing of Nicole Simpson and Ron Goldman. He has yet to make significant reparations in that civil suit.
On Friday, a Las Vegas jury pronounced a guilty verdict on Simpson on kidnap and robbery charges over an incident in a hotel room where Simpson and his accomplices held sport memorabilia collectors at gunpoint. Justice at last!
