Our turn to give back to nature

Kalba reserve will help preserve local wildlife and educate residents about the region

Last updated:

The Kalba nature reserve, which is expected to open to the public by October, will give a boost to eco-tourism in the country. The effort will not only preserve local wildlife and their habitats, but will also educate residents about the region in which they live.

Too often, because most of our time is spent in the city, we tend to lose touch with the ecological imprint of the land which was once home to rare animal species.

Excessive hunting and human encroachment has damaged this delicate balance in nature. The decision to set apart a nature reserve will go a long way in preserving some of the local species and also teach us about how they live in their natural environment.

When the project involving three zones is completed, it will be worth the time, money and effort as it will be our way of giving back to nature a part of what it has given to us.
