Dubai: Newly elected members of the governing body of the Pakistan Social Centre in Ras Al Khaimah were sworn in on Wednesday.

Pakistan Consul General, Syed Javed Hassan administered the oath to the newly-elected office-bearers of the social centre.

Hassan urged the new members to work hard for the welfare of the Pakistani community in RAK. “Serving the community members should be on top of your agenda,” he told the newly-elected body while addressing the gathering at the centre.

Saulat Mirza, Welfare Consular at Consulate supervised the election process to elect new members of the governing board of the social centre on April 27. The new body was elected after a gap of more than four years.

He also advised them to form a women’s wing to provide women in the emirate a platform to interact and organise their activities.
