Abu Dhabi: The Department of Culture and Tourism — Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) announced on Sunday the launch of its electronic registration service for the 28th edition of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair (ADIBF), to be held from April 25 to May 1 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.

This initiative aims to facilitate the process of counting the number of visitors, in line with the highest international standards of quality and services provided by DCT Abu Dhabi. In addition, the initiative is aimed at studying the status of the local publishing market as well as the categories and ages of readers to develop the publishing industry in both the UAE and the region.

ADIBF’s visitors can register their attendance through three platforms — the ADIBF website, the ADIBF mobile app, and on site registration when attending the event.

Abdullah Majed Al Ali, director of ADIBF, said: “ADIBF is committed to implementing the latest international standards to provide the highest standards of service. The electronic registration process we are launching this year marks the culmination of the great efforts made by DCT Abu Dhabi to achieve smart, digital and innovative transformation across its various sectors, in line with our wise leadership’s vision in developing the capacity to offer innovative and smart solutions.”

The exhibition will open its doors to the public from 9am to 10pm daily, and from 4pm to 10pm on Friday.
